About This Workshop

What happened

The students worked in teams of three, and each team built its own robot: twelve students, four robots.

The Nahariya workshop began with boxes of parts. Step by step, each team assembled its arm and connected the stepper motors, the IR sensor, and the gripper motor, and saw how a circuit turns into motion.

The sensor became the star of the day. The students learned how sensors and motors work together, just like on a real production line, and how a robot can use what it senses to know what to do next.

When the sequences ran, the robots carried out the automation on their own. The kids had taught them how, and they did the work: a small production line, built and programmed by young makers.
